Wayne Osmond, one of the original members of The Osmonds, has died aged 73.

The singer, who rose to fame alongside his siblings including Donny, Jimmy and Marie Osmond, died on New Year's Day with his wife and five children by his side after suffering a stroke, family members said in posts on social media.

"His legacy of faith, music, love, and laughter have influenced the lives of many people around the world," a family statement said.

"He would want everyone to know that the gospel of Jesus Christ is true, that families are forever, and that banana splits are the best dessert. We love him and will miss him dearly

Drag star The Vivienne, 32. Not really my demographic, but really good in The Wizard of Oz at New Theatre a couple of years ago and that’s no age.

RIP

Singer Sam Moore, who performed as one half of the Grammy-winning R&B duo Sam & Dave, has died at the age of 89.

Moore passed away in Coral Gables, Florida after suffering complications from a surgery.

The hitmaker was known for his '60s-era chart toppers Soul Man, I Thank You, and Hold On I’m Coming.

One of the acts I wish I had seen live. Lad I know was in a band who supported the 1967 Stax Tour. Said he pitied anyone who had to follow them they put on such a performance. (What a band behind them as well, Booker T and the MGs with the Memphis Horns on these clips))

An amazing career. Didn’t enter league football until he was over 30 and ended up captaining Man City to a league title a few years later.
His wiki is well worth a read
RIP

Remember reading about it at the time. An amazing progression. Malcolm Alison knew a good thing when he was manager at Bath and it helped him to make that period the most successful in City’s history up to that time.

Did he have demons before snorting £4,000 worth of cocaine up his nose every week?
And drinking to excess won’t have helped either.

Yes. Manic depression and bipolar from his documentary a few years ago. Many who suffer from these drink or do drugs to self-medicate, so the drugs/drink are a solution, rather than the problem.. although not a particularly healthy solution.
