While there's a lull in matches I'll just mention something I was told a couple of months back.
It's just gossip but the lad does have a contact at the club and I've been studying things since he mentioned it.
I said nowt, at the time, because I hadn't particularly paid much attention.
It seems the goalkeeper coach, Barcherini, has a much wider role than I thought. He's involved in tactics, throughout the team, and is the matchday 'statman' who instructs subs going on and is involved in team talks at half time etc. He certainly seems to cling onto the 'laptop' when I've watched him. He has quite an input into how we build our attacks from the keeper apparently.
Our new coach and assistant manager, Pedro Ribeiro, is more involved in day to day coaching particularly the young/fringe players.
Interesting stuff, does anyone else have 'knowledge' of this out of interest.
Must admit, watching matches on streams, I've seen Barcherini talking to players a lot when there's been breaks in play. Thought it was a bit odd for a goalkeeping coach but never really thought much more of it.
