He’s probably backing himself to do well in the Prem with Ipswich and then get a bigger move next season if they come back down.

I’m gutted he’s going but we couldn’t hold onto him forever and the price is decent, particularly with the sell on fee.

As 20 million with add ons, isn’t going to give us that much really once spurs get their cut.

 

I think we will. Already started by the looks of it. I hope there's not a massive backlash from the nay-sayers, we needed a big sale and Jack's ready for the prem.

I also hope people understand we won't be buying a player for 20mill. We'll probably buy 3 for 5mill and reinvest the rest in the club.

I thought he'd go to Palace or Brentford tbh. He'd fit right in in Palace especially.

You can only sell what people are willing to buy. If £15m+ add-ons lets us sign Simic and Wilson on the basis that Clarke was never going to sign a new deal then so be it.
