I I'm not sure about the need to sell. Who would we bring in? A striker definitely, but I think the club would rather put the cash up for a striker than diminish the squad in other areas. I honestly think think they'll spend money if the right player comes along at the right price.
There is noise every transfer window around him, and so far he hasn't gone anywhere. Hopefully it's the same this window.
These are the messages that I now love about our club. It doesn't reek of desperation or us try to make a quick buck. Bravo SAFC
Didn't someone say plan was to hold onto Clarke until Jan window at least? Can't recall if anyone reputable
We need a striker that can link play n can move defenders about, Gelherdt can def do that but i cant see clarke going to Leeds I just cant see a championship club spending big money on 1 player
Despite all their sales I don’t think Leeds have the financial resources to meet the clubs valuation of Clarke. If he leaves it will be to the Premier League. If he does go I don’t think we’d rush out and spend all the money. They don’t tend to panic or rush signings. You would however hope they have a plan in place if he does go. I also think it will be about improving overall team not just replacing Clarke. I wouldn’t mind a loan signing just so we don’t rush in to a bad signing. Mikey Johnstone from Celtic on loan or someone like that. I certainly wouldn’t go out and spend loads on another left winger when we have a few who can play that position and are developing.
Watching MNF here and they’re bang on regarding Chelsea Their transfer business for a while now has been an absolute disgrace Joao Felix set to sign next…
Sunderland or Newcastle United were probably Norman Hunter’s boyhood club but that didn’t stop him playing his football for Leeds United. Professional football players are mercenary by nature and will play wherever they feel they will get the best chance of success.
