Interesting what the commentator said about him on Sky Sports News though - he's a poacher, he'll just stay in the box and if you provide service, he'll score but don't expect him to get involved with the link up play or track back.
Not to me. I know people will just see a goalscorer and say we need goals though. It sounds daft but a 12 goal striker who runs the channels and can hold the ball would be a better signing for us than a 20 goal striker who stays in the box.
Thats maybe why we looked at him but didnt pursue as didnt think he fitted us. I get it, were trying to get the right fit, where previously we would have just gone & signed him regardless.....but its got everyone on proper edge we dont get the right one over the line before window closes
It's been unforgivable for the past 20+ months, it will not make a difference to them now. I'm convinced it's all a bluff about wanting a CF in by Speakman despite what he says in the media .
Aye they definitely don’t wanna fight to get to PL and get all that money. What they wanna do is run us at break even for no gain at all getting grief off people on the internet. Ridiculous to suggest we ‘don’t want one’. Accidentally signed about 6… Penny pinchers, but don’t want £2-300million… adds up.
