Not many signings DO get linked these days. Poveda, Moore and Browne came from nowhere

Depends on who is making the decisions. If KS said to KLD "here's £2m. Get a striker signed" then it's all on KS.

That would make sense, although I would hope the club could operate with a bit of short term debt to get players in before we sell.

Remember the days when they would announce and present a new signing out of the blue at half time in a match, mind I think they were all pre SoL days.

Exactly mate...its such a shame we bought Kevin Phillips all those years ago, should have gone for a proven championship striker......there is no garrantee with anyone the club buys, 'proven' or not

 

We signed a new Phillips now there’d be a meltdown.

Especially the way we did. Wanted Connolly ‘settled’ for Kev
