If they put NI Back to 10% that's fine by me as long as it funds Healthcare.
In fact I'd be happy with tax increases if it meant better healthcare and a better pension .
People seem to not grasp this .
Why do Scandinavian citizens seem to be happier even though they pay higher taxes ?

they seem to have missed out illegal war, discovering weapons of mass destruction, tee hee, busting the country, selling off half our gold at rock bottom prices to pay off their overspending, plus the 2003 white paper cancelling all new builds of nuclear power stations, which they completely flip flopped 5 years later but it was too late - I could go on but I can't be arsed really - they're all as incompetent as each other

Higher taxes, restrictions on money allowed to take on holiday, devaluation and all the other things we saw under Labour in the 1960s with bollocks about the devaluation doesn’t mean the pound in your pocket is worth less. Which some daft sods took in.

Yep. They back the Cass report which actively discourages gender transition and support among teens and removes puberty blockers from medical practice (which isn't something unique to trans people).

Nothing wrong with "defending your country", definitely something wrong with killing tens of thousands of civilians and celebrating death en masse under the guise of "self defence".

We aren't voting for the rest of the world, we're voting for the party that will pledge to reduce emissions and be more environmentally friendly. We don't work on a "they aren't so we won't" basis, otherwise we'd get sod all done.

Didn’t we create the problem in the first place by putting Israel there after the 2nd world war?

I don't think Sunak is going to be leader of the opposition. He's about to oversee the worst electoral Tory performance in a long while, I imagine they'll boot him and a lot of his cabinet sharpish to save face.

Smaller populations, post-war Keynesian consensus lasted longer, more homogeneous (barring Sweden) and therefore have more of a high-trust community spirit.

Can’t do any worse than that old hag did the other year, when she snatched defeat from the jaws of an absolute landslide victory.

If Richy gets trounced he’s just done what everyone expected.

Yeah, I have to agree, paying higher taxes doesn't automatically make you poorer. It's one of the reasons Scandinavian citizens earn more money than we do, their government has more to spend on the people, their economies are decent and quality of life is generally great.

    Benefit of hindsight ?
You really think you need hindsight to push aside long standing suppliers of PPE in favour of fellow Tory donors who had n0 experience of supplying ?
That's just plain corruption and I can't.velueve we have people supporting this practice even now it was plain corruption.

I'm not supporting it, I'm just not daft enough to think only the Tories would do it.

Yeah wasn't Mone's company set up just after lockdown? Gove has a lot to answer for, he seems to have weasled away into the shadows.
