As long as either Foden or Bellingham goes in the middle and Arnold goes off. For everyone saying before the game what Arnold will bring to the team, I've really yet to see it
It may have something to do with the fact that he's not playing in the same position as he does for Man City. Watching the game, everything is either going through the middle or on the right with Saka
I really try with Shearer but he's starting to get on my nerves ... ... just loves making these big bold statements.
We must be watching different games. Arnold has made a key pass and broken up the play in the build up to 2 of England's best attacks. He's very good at getting Saka into space. Foden has looked like a lost little boy whilst Bellingham runs the show. He's seemingly got the freedom to move anywhere across the forward line and he just keeps getting in people's way.
He probably got grief 'cos he was average at best . . . . a bit like Southgate, and only got as far as he did with the England team 'cos of injuries & suspensions. I'd say that he was very lucky to do as well as he did and get the credit that he got
Decent first half but haven't made the amount of possession really count in the terms of chances created and goals scored
Left side offers nothing, as I said before the game. Left sided midfielder in Foden who is being told to go infield but then you have Trippier also going infield from the same side. Makes no sense. Guehi really good, Saka looks a threat everytime he gets the ball and impressed with Trent in the middle. Early 2nd half goal and we'll be fine.
So far so good. Bellingham and Guehi excellent, Saka scaring Serbia when he gets on the ball. Only negatives are we have been a bit sloppy in defence at times and our left side isn't working but I think the lack of a left footed left back is impacting on Foden
