Shock horror. Keeping hostages in your home gets you killed and makes you a legitimate target under international law. The incredible video shows Hamas spraying machine gun fire and rocket launchers at them after their escape. Not a great idea in built up areas. Aren’t you interested to know how many civilians were killed by Hamas? The world really is upside down when people are quicker to criticise a heroic rescue than they are at Hamas for taking them in the first place and with civilians for being complicit.

Can you point out where he blamed Israel for this? If you are saying being sad at the death of children is offensive now, we really have fallen a long way. Hamas is evil. It places innocents in danger. Does that make it right to take the bait and sacrifice the lives of ten children for one hostage adult? It is a horrible situation all round. Hamas and the Israeli state are both coming out of this poorly.
And we mustn't forget Hamas isn't Palestine, it's just what grew in the power vacuum. The ordinary Palestinians are the victims here, along with the hostages taken by both sides. To blame them for Hamas is unfair.
To punish the Palestinians to the edge of genocide is more than unfair. For Hamas to have embedded themselves into the population is equally despicable.

I know! Given how damning the evidence was in this case (hence why it only took the jury 3 hours to convict) it would have been absolute carnage had he got off!

Ordinary Palestinians like the ones hiding these hostages in their homes just like the 4 who were rescued? Or like the hundreds that crossed the border to kill Jews on 7/10? I’m not saying the whole of the Palestinian population deserve this barbaric assault, of course they don’t, but it’s totally naive to ignore polls that show the vast majority of Gazans support 7/10 and still, even now 80% support Hamas and the figure is even higher in the West Bank. They are taught in school that it is martyrdom to kill Jews. Hamas are not some random terrorist minority, they are an elected government.

I agree with you, but, as per my post above, if there was a democratic vote tomorrow, Hamas would still win.
It should also be said how horrifying and heart breaking it must be to see their child (no matter how old) become addicted to cocaine and alcohol. If he gets a light sentence (i.e. probation) which is very possible, Trump and his cronies will say it's because he's the president's son. Not that he's battled drug and alcohol abuse and probation would be better for his rehab. Anyone who tries to score political points from something like this needs a serious lesson in morality. Although that would be pointless with Trump as he has all the morals and compassion of a sewer rat.
If only there was some way of resolving this aged conflict. Our Israeli Christian friends live in harmony within a Muslim and Jewish community increasingly threatened by the ultras.
