No mate, Chelsea were promoted after the war too, despite being relegated before the league was disbanded. I'm not saying the way those clubs were voted into the top flight was right. But the league was expanded, so it was never going to be decided on top finishing positions alone. Arsenal have remained in it ever since and yeah you can argue that they were given an advantage in the first place. But over a century of staying in that league without ever being relegated suggests that we've earned our place in it.
