Surely the betting odds are subject to factors beyond football too. Like who people are putting the most money on. That's surely going to skew things to some extent.
What I'm saying is the odds had them finishing in the playoffs, mostly 4th or 5th, bookmakers are in the business of extracting as much cash as possible from punters so however they compile their metrics will be as thorough as their Switzerland/Barbados based CEO demands it to be. Under that metric, which is the best one available, they exceeded expectations by finishing 2nd and getting automatic promotion, avoiding the lottery of the playoffs. Perhaps we are quibbling over the weight of the term "exceeding", I'm not saying they were expected to be battling relegation and beat untold odds to fire themselves into 2nd, I'm saying they beat the margins, which is what success is about 99% of the time.
Usually just cuts and pastes info from other sites for clicks. Once they move from that they havnt got a clue
Odds will change based on various things tho, including the number of bets placed on each team I get what you are saying, and we are likely quibbling over what is classed as exceeding The bottom line is i wouldnt want him as our manager, dont feel he is a manager to kick us on at all but thats just my opinion
And that is absolutely fine mate, we can like and not like whomever we want, but Higginbottom did a job for them.
Aye that’s the be all end all. I just don’t think he is even close to a fit for what we need. Gotta be honest I’m really struggling for who is. The whole Still thing even is it a bit Hollywood? The hope is he is Potter 2.0 If we got Potter like Swans/Brighton results from here we’d be running.
Echo saying Chris Rigg is delaying his contract decision until he knows who the Head Coach is. They've been pretty steadfast in saying he's staying so that's a concern.
