Oh, I agree that the club are looking at a different type of manager to the usual. In fact, I think its something they have to do for the way they want to work. As a young manager, I'd class Rosenior as a British version of that. Because of the media interest Still is perhaps the most visible of the type they are/should be looking at and I think appointing him would be a statement.
There are signs. Mags fa cup for one. And I will never buy the “ we knew nothing about it “ bollocks either.Went for the ££££ over fans
Very wise mate. I'm as naive as any supporter but the fact remains we're paying for entertainment, not making an investment ... ... we believe we are because 'we invest our time, effort and money' but it's a grandiose idea. It makes me laugh when football fans say they want their club back, nice ideal but nonsense if we're being honest.
You'll believe what you choose to believe and hold grudges for as long as you like ... ... personally I'm sick to death of hearing about the derby.
It's interesting about Rooney going to Plymouth. His only real success, if you call his time at Derby a success given the club were a shambles when he was there, is that throughout that time Rosenior was his head coach. Once he left to go and explore his own management career, Rooney has floundered
The BCB was a massive error. They’ve accepted this but have a think for a minute, the club are running at a 9 million loss. It’s a business and we need to make money where-ever we can
You could've said the same about Brian Clough with Peter Taylor and Martin O'Neill and John Robertson. A good partnership is hard to replicate once it's no longer together
The allocation was out of our hands which meant, to an extent, the BCB was as well ... ... badly handled but not as bad as West Brom v Wolves which was ten times worse. People will cling onto the derby for grim death, it suits them to imo.
I'm sick to death of seeing the BCB episode being used as a stick to beat the club with. It happened, get over it!
Agree with all this, also Heckingbottom needs some consideration for what he's achieved in this division
They sold the club imo to make a few quid... Those who think this is all just going to fade into the back ground, well they are idiots. The BCB debacle is a lifetime stain on the club AND its supporters.
Only in the minds of a few people who probably don't go and will bravely continue not to go ... ... the season ticket renewals tell a different story. And, how much money did they make in your opinion?
If Heckingbottom is even considered then this club have no ambition whatsoever. Much like when they never built on promotion in 64, like they never built on the cup win in 73 or the promotion in 98/99. Its all, over the years been a litany of what ifs and what could have beens. This current situation appears to be just another of a long, long list of failures and missed opportunity because of Money or the lack thereof..
Apart from a Wembley trophy, promotion to the Championship and the PL play-offs , in three seasons .... ... better than we managed in the previous decade.
So apart from a Wembley trophy, promotion to the Championship and the PL play-offs - what have these owners ever done for us????
