He has a massive sports facility in the UAE that he lets Elite Athletes use for free for their rehab, Van Dijk used it when he was injured, in return all he wants is the publicity, photo ops etc. He also had a pretty good story about Mourinho when he took Man U there for a warm weather camp.

A name I mentioned on here, Élie Youan at Hibs, is subject of a £2 million bid + add-ons from a French club. Got 10 goals and 10 assists this season in Scotland in all competitions. He’s divided their supporters from what I can tell. On his day, he’s a world-beater who can create something from nothing but he can be inconsistent. He’s also had a spat with several Hibs fans on social media who keep messaging him abuse for some reason.

I think for £2-2.5 million, that would be a decent signing for us since he can play anywhere in a front three, can cut inside and score or whip in a good cross or run into the box to provide a cut-back, something which both Dompé and Jatta did at Hamburg under Walter. Other than Philogene, who is probably going, our options on the wings are poor.

True but he seems to fit the profile of wingers Walter likes and had at Hamburg. For £2 million, it might be worth a punt. So was Allahyar and Sinik and they cost more.

according to the hull and back podcast head of recruitment lee darnborough has left to join Stoke City
