I actually thought that he grew into the best version of himself in this very season. He actually put in some good performances and was playing well when a lot of other (more handsomely paid) players were not. I'm not saying he became a top quality player at this level. But he played well at this level when he got his chances, in a team that was poor overall. Kinda sad to see him go as I feel like he's been at the club with us.Absolutely agree, always gave his best imho. Never quite made the jump to good player, but never stopped giving all.
I hope he finds his niche. If we see him again, I will be the first clapping him
However, if we have ambition to finish higher next season that we have this season, we need not only a better replacement for him but 2 in that position.
