I took my then 7 or 8 yr old daughter to her first ever football match v Reading around 15 years ago.
I was that excited to take her we were inside the ground over an hour before KO. I walked her around the stadium etc and got her a burger etc which she loved. Then about half hour before KO she said can we go home now dad. I said we haven't kicked off yet!
As for the game...when Kenwyn scored our first goal I was jumping about like I would normally do and looked at my daughter who was in tears and sat down still. I asked her what's the matter and she said she got a fright with the sudden noise and jumping about. Bless her. She loved me taking her to the games after that but admitted mainly cos of the burgers!
