2020/21 Season
10th Jan 2021 - Carl Winchester
29th Jan 2021 - Jordan Jones
29th Jan 2021 - Jake Vokins
31st Jan 2021 - Ross Stewart

So, we do often wait until the end of the window to do business, but honestly how many of those players came in and made a immediate impact? Even Clarke and Roberts were in and out the team until April/May

So, there IS hope, but the noises coming (or not coming) out of the club are slightly worrying. Let's hope next week sees some movement......
21/22 season quality would be nice. 4/6 great signings, one okay and one awful but very brief. They didn’t have immediate impact but proved to be very good overall.
Last season was not great, one good, one okay, two not very good.

We have previous for signing players now, who will come good in a year - likes of Hume and Ba come to mind, but we should be able to also sign players for the here and now. The lack of the 2nd bit is frustrating

Cov were very interested in Styles last season. What I’ve seen of him has been pretty good. An upgrade on Matete and competition for the other midfielders due to versatility. Hasn’t been brilliant this season but probably expected to be playing for Millwall or better this season.

I genuinely hate the transfer window. Clowns like this post rumours from message boards and say they are "hearing......" or "sources indicate...." when they have a hit rate of 1 in 400
He said we were bringing 6 in on deadline day last year :emoticon-0102-bigsm I’ve stuck him on mute like too many people I follow will lap his **** up and I can’t be arsed with it

Two transfers windows in which we signed 5 strikers, right?

Not the right strikers, granted :D

I'm being facetious. You're just saying nothing concrete has happened regarding strikers when we have 4 that were signed in the last window.

Need at least one of them out to bring one in probably.
Think I should rephrase or qualify my comment… what I should have said… the striker issue hasn’t been solved… yes we’ve signed kids.. took a couple on loan but in all honesty.. non of them have worked

The only signing I would be interested in would be an experienced DM or target man style striker. Even then you'd have concerna about the squad being too big as is.

Burstow and Rusyn were supposed to be the solution.

One played lots and showed nothing, the other has shown a bit and hardly played.

Glad to hear he's not that bad for his 5'6"

Have to give them a chance though. People are raving about Tommy Conway from Bristol C at the minute, he only had his first real season last year but they persisted with him. Gyokores was ****ing hopeless his first championship season with Swansea/Coventry but Coventry decided to sign him permanently and throw him in. People want a 30 goal striker without having to do any of the hard yards to establish themself in the team and division.

Played DM for Hungary last year in qualifiers and did well. Sure I saw a game for Milwall last year too where he looked good there. I am not advocating for an enforcer type in DM, I want a player who can link defence and midfield quickly and cleverly, but who can block passing angles and slow counters. Different types of players can be really effective as a deep lying player.

They can but his data doesn't show lots of interceptions, blocks and tackles etc.

May move the ball quicker but that's Dan Neil.

Feels like he's a bit of a Carl Winchester type player - not the most physical, but can play a few positions and probably the nick the ball away from players rather than full blooded tackles/blocks

Yes, because if random people who don't work for the club are finding out exact details like you are saying then the person leaking the info wants sacking. I know people here rumours abouts signings and stuff like that but you are stating they are only going to sign 1 player and 3 out
Can't have a PM with you?, I wonder why?

We have no fit left backs, and we have no cover for Clarke
We currently have 7 players out injured from our squad of 29, meaning we have enough for a full bench and 2 reserve players.
Of the 7 injured players, 2 (Huggins & cirkin) won't play again this season 2 (Evans & Embleton) haven't kicked all ball yet this season. Alese and Dack are notoriously injury prone so it's really only Roberts that we can rely on to be added to the squad
Of the 22 players we have remaining, 4 (Hemir, Burstow, Mayenda, Bennette) aren't yet good enough to start games and the jury is out on another 5 (Aouchiche, Pembele, Triantis, Matete & Rigg) and certainly shouldn't be relied on to contribute to games on a consistent basis.

Once you look passed our first choice XI there is very little in reserve
