Interesting read that. Good to read that the attacking mentality is key for us from board level down and instilled across the entire set up
The club couldn't be any more open about how they want things to work. All the stories and gossip about friction and fall outs are exaggerated imo ... ... of course there'll be different opinions but the club have every right to spell out what they want.
There is one part that i think will be picked up on We all come at it from a different angle and we have a really open environment, as we have done for recruitment and, not just team selection for a Saturday, but in terms of how the team is going to evolve and what does it look like. Ultimately, the coach has to make that judgement call at the end to say 'this is the team I'm going with You could take that part that KS has an input on Team Selection. You could take it that 'We' actually means the coaching set up as a whole, fitness coaches etc.
I think KS is absolutely quality. What a job he's done. I really hope he realises that the forums don't represent the .majority of the views. Such he does like, we've got cracking fans an we'll tell him
I think he’s a bit annoying and i imagine there’s room for flexibility to retain relationships but overall the plan we have is working and well thought through and a few Neanderthal’s need to use their loaf in our support
The trouble is now that we all know too much and it's a contrast maelstrom of info/gossip that feeds more speculation and finite analysis of what might be offhand comments. Of course errors will be made but it feels like the club actually has a structure and a real plan. That's rare in my lifetime tbh. Flexibility is fine, to a degree, but I grew tired of each new manager bringing in his own staff/players/philosophy. Moyes, for example, wanted complete autonomy and it was a disaster ... ... incoming coaches now know the Ts&Cs, simple.
Ironically the more we know the more the club's PR sometimes lets them down It is still a key area for improvement and one which wouldn't take much investment to improve
It does, and KS has to take the main credit for it. It's not what we've been used to,but there isn't a manager anymore....there's a head coach who works within the overall plan to progress the club on the pitch by improving the players. If we reach a point where that's not happening,he'll be replaced, but the overall plan will not change. There are a number of fans who have an agenda against KS,but that seems to be based on personality rather than efficiency. I can't see why any of us would be unhappy at the progress we've made on the field and in the squad since the KLD/KS regime has come in. Off the field is another matter, not for this thread.
Even more concerned now. Speakman is mad if he limits the head coach to chancers who will be happy not bringing their own people in. Beale looked like a rabbit in headlights today - leaving Ba on so long who was utterly hapless. We will go backwards very quickly and it won’t be arrested until Speakman and/or Dreyfus address this.
Good evening, I think Beale will be a disaster. After the **** storm that is is the North Stand, think this is a storm that will break a few eggs. It's not good and I hate it for us. Suppose the fall out might make the powers that be think twice
Not the best start like. Cov took their chances and pumped us as we would to them if they’d had a **** week Things were on the turn under Uncle Tone, and I blame him every bit as much as Bealsy Any setback is an opportunity to learn. If he’s half as good at coaching as his reputation suggests he’ll put it right We move on
