Allsopp’s double save half way through the second half was probably a better save than at the end, but both where match defining.

That was potentially a BIG second half in the context of the season. Well done lads, that took guts indeed.

I think the Twine/Traore can do a job out wide when they’re complemented with a marauding full back pushing ahead in the wide role. When it’s the likes of Philogene and Lokilo providing all the width and you don’t make any other alterations to replace them when they’re not available, it’s going to have a consequence.

Slater, Traore, Twine, Tufan and whoever else tends to get picked in these spots do not and can not play the way those wingers play and it shows. It then makes our transitioning much more ponderous and predictable and the whole team becomes much easier to defend against because we’re just playing in front of them all the time.

I think we were due one of those games.

First half we were dreadful, couldn’t pick a pass and kept giving the ball away cheaply. Thankfully, we gradually dragged them down to our level and then some good tactical and personnel switches swung it our way. Even then it was edge of the seat stuff right until the final whistle but so good to see that reaction from the whole team when it finally came. Also showed that the other players are behind Allsop, even if he has had a couple of games laced with errors.

I'm ambivalent about this but all I will say is this. The conversation runs and runs as a result of Ingram being dropped for not doing a lot wrong. I don't disagree that Allsop seems better with the ball at his feet. Ingram seems better at stopping shots. It's the managers call at the end of the day. I expect this discussion to run until the end of the season if/when the current incumbent drops another one in the eyes of some.

And that is everything having a football team in your blood is all about. Great scenes.

I like goalkeepers who stop shots
    not that Ingram cant
it's just more important than being "better with the ball at his feet"

Good to see Doc provide the set up for Tufan’s winner!

After rewatching the Allsop save at the death, he should hold onto the first one and actually causes the drama himself…. Chortle.

We scored the winner with vinagre playing left wing and Greaves at left back. Tufan always plays centrally.

Slaters movement and energy was good
Connolly was left on for the full 90 to give him fitness and maybe test his durability
This Team are very together .
    Twine looked tired like Seri
Maybe Seri has slackened off so he is fit for the ANC ? Players do things like that before other international cups don’t they ?

Was going to say the same. Ingram was dropped for a whole lot less than what Allsop's been guilty of the last few weeks. That's where the accusations of Allsop being picked not based on merit/ability come from.

Not sure Ingram was even dropped for anything, it was just a perceived upgrade was signed.

I'd go with 5-3-2 with wing backs (Coyle & Vinagre)
    Christie is too risky defensively
