Here’s hoping last weeks result can act as a springboard for the next couple of games before the derby match, this weekends opponents are Preston. Norwich City are back at Carrow Road this weekend, as they host Preston North End in another Sky Bet Championship fixture (KO 3pm). The Canaries come into this fixture after winning three league games out of the last four, with Adam Idah's late goal sealing a 2-1 win away to Bristol City last Sunday. Norwich sit 13th in the Championship table after 19 games played. The opposition Preston sit two points and five places higher than Norwich in the table, after an initial promising start to their campaign, but similar to Norwich their form has dropped as Ryan Lowe's side have suffered three consecutive defeats in the Championship, losing to Cardiff City, Middlesbrough, and QPR. They are currently bottom of the form table. One to Watch Liam Lindsay Featuring in every single minute of Preston's Championship campaign so far, defender Liam Lindsay has been an ever-present in the Lilywhites' defence. The defender is also a threat on an attacking-front for Preston, having netted three league goals this season. A product of the Partick Thistle academy, the 28-year-old also has had spells at Barnsley and Stoke City, before his move to Deepdale on an initial loan in February 2021 with the move made permanent in June later that year. The Manager Ryan Lowe After a playing career that included spells at Shrewsbury Town, Crewe Alexandra and Bury, Lowe began his managerial career with the Shakers. The 45-year-old then went on to manage Plymouth Argyle, earning promotion from Sky Bet League Two before moving on to Preston in December 2021. Norwich presser highlights DW raised no new injury concerns from the Bristol game, Gianoulis injury was a knock and should be able to return, everyone involved that game should be available again. This game comes too soon for Hanley though. Positive vibes!!! ON THE BALL CITY!!! NEVER MIND THE DANGER!!!
Brilliant again Suffolk and well done to rise above the confusion! WhoScored thinks we'll start the same lineup that finished at Bristol. Preston play very direct football so height will matter. I'd start Barnes rather than Gibbs and Duffy and Batth at CB.
I have to say I quite liked the McLean at CB experiment, I think the only thing that I would change would be Barnes in for Gibbs. Swap the wings over sonRowe is on the left and Fassnacht on the right, or just bring Sainz in for Fassnacht. Word is that Sainz has not been featuring as much as he has not learned the language enough yet and therefore it can be difficult to pass instructions
Kenny at CB was actually good tactics & Nunez paired with Sara worked well, Idah seems to play better as a super sub than starter . Hernandez for Sainz maybe
I can not understand Onel still starting. Four years ago, yes, but now? We, the fans that is, have no idea of the ability that Sainz would bring to the team, but nor has Wagner with his persistent refusal to pick him.
