I think West Brom rejected a £5 million bid for him from Stoke of all places in the summer. Looked miles better than Haji Wright, who we supposedly wanted to try to sign again this summer before Cov got him.
Our striker situation needs sorting for next summer though. Tetteh’s gone, Óscar likely won’t play for us again, Connolly’s on a one-year deal and whilst those rumours may be bullshit, his future with us is still tentative and we won’t be signing Delap permanently. That means January and next summer will require a big overhaul in the forward department. Thomas-Asante would be a good option if we can afford him.

I wanted us to sign Matija Frigan this summer if we sold Tetteh and Óscar and had the money. Sunderland wanted him but he ended up going to Westerlo in the Belgian league. Westerlo might get relegated this season so if we had the money, I’d like us to try to get him next summer if possible. He’s strong, quick and a good finisher.

Was just going to post the article in the Sheffield paper about that. Makes you wonder what is going on there, 29,000 their last home game paying far higher prices than we do, virtually double in a lot of cases.
