Bad times. Feels like this move is completely money related

Is that unreasonable? I don't know about bad times, we've already got replacements in and although he's a decent player I don't think we'll miss him.

Never really made the step up from league one for me. He was great at that level but inconsistent and not as effective in the championship.

Harsh assessment, he’s changed games with his high press and tenacity coming on even when he hasn’t scored or assisted. Glimpses today that Dack might be effective though possibly not as aesthetically pleasing in terms of style and I think Ba, Bellingham and Rigg will get games through the season so if there’s a decent fee I can see it being agreed. I’ll miss him, love his intensity and close control but not sure the team will miss him that much.

I don't think it's harsh, he's a decent player as I said. I like him but it seems you agree we wouldn't miss him much.

Also as you say we've got a raft of potentially very exciting players to replace him. Jobe and Rigg already look like more natural goal scorers and that's not all they can do.

I don't know if that's actually true. He seems very one paced BUT he reads the game extremely well. Of he had a burst of pace, he'd be an animal.. He will develop and hopefully he gains this.

With training and time as you say he will develop. I like what I've seen so far. It'll be mad to think the Madrid players will probably be taking an interest in Sunderland because of Jude, soke sending him pearls of wisdom. lol

As much as I like Pritch and Baath and can see the value in keeping them, they won't be getting a new deal next year and are on big wages. So it's a totally understandable business decision to try and get a fee for them now and bring younger players in to fill there places.
It wasn't that long ago when we would have at least 5 bang average players on massive wages, leave for free every season after we'd paid a packet in fees and wages for them. One of the reasons we were ****ed.
Wouldn't be surprised if the club let them go and brought in a couple of top quality loans in as we'd then have space in both the squad and budget to accommodate them.

which is all of us begging for a suitable replacement has been asking...not questioning current signings or slagging off the team..Its been glaringly obvious to anyone who watches Sunderland what has been needed

Absolutely. I watch Tone's press conference after the game. He is so on his arse. Desperate for 'expert' help at the top of the pitch. He will get it like. Just have to hope he hits the ground running.
