did a spud in it for lunch yesterday. Bake setting and was like the old style spuds you would get from the mobile oven things you would see in town.

food looks great right up my street that……I tried that beer the other day though…….I found it’s dry very very dry which is a weird experience when drinking liquid.

Ate out last night in a restaurant in a place called Torredembara. Proper locals area, as in not full of tourists, on a Saturday night somewhere in Spain. Had paella, was bloody lovely. Had chipirons as starters, with breads. Which is basically squid off cuts, so like calamari but smaller bits. The bread you rub garlic and tomato on. Again, blood lovely. Couple of bottles of a local white.
We had to walk along the beach to get there, and through the middle of a nudist section. ****ing hell, it was graphic.
Birthday Saturday and before we went out for the day I smoked some beef short ribs for a few hours, then threw them in the slow cooker with a spicy tomato / ale broth to cook down. Had a pretty full day, ate out at 3, so didn't end up doing the tacos till about 10, by which time I was pretty pissed, but they were bloody good.
