If Óscar goes I would hope we get a striker of similar calibre or better in addition to Tetteh and Delap.
If Oscar goes I’d be happy with Connolly. I think between him, Tetteh and Delap we’d have a bit of everything
Connolly was injured for most the time we had him, as was Tetteh. I think it would be incredibly risky to go with those 2 and a youngster who's not kid the ground running in senior football yet
Absolutely. I broadly let them get on with it and just listened, but felt a slightly pathetic warm glow when they asked me how I thought the season would go then both agreed passionately when I said it all hinged on what business took place over the next few weeks.
No one knows how he’ll turn out Remember George hirst? Akpom took bloody years and it’s still only at championship level Fingers crossed he does well for us
Slightly underwhelming replacement for me that, thought we’d go for a more proven champ striker or someone who’s got a fair few goals abroad
We'd probably be able to sign him and Max Bird for the wages Oscar is on. I'm a big JCH fan, he's a complete twat, spends half the time on the floor, and is generally horrible to play against. Oh and the boy can score
Really good signing, if not a little over priced. Will help out Coventry though, given their financial woes in recent years.
When he was appointed I posted something along the lines of 'players at Derby felt he talks too much'. My mate is an agent with a player there. They didn't really like him, thought he had too much to say for an unproven manager and lost a lot of them quickly. He has done nothing. We finished near the bottom of the table. The time to keep quiet and get your business done is now.
I agree overpayed because he had only one year left but he was the coach most desired signing for the season.
That says more about the players at Derby and maybe sheds some light on the reason they find themselves in the position they’re in.
Don't shoot the messenger. I'd also suggest there are far more deep rooted issues there that have caused the decline than the players thinking the manager should shurrup and prove himself.
Maybe, but they clearly thought they were too good for him and the league they're in yet they're there for a second season in a row.
If Ehab and McCann were still running things and we sold Óscar and replaced him with Clarke-Harris, there would be absolute uproar and rightfully so.
