I share the concern that expectations are possibly too high at the moment.

We absolutely could get promoted, and it 100% should be our aim. But its going to be a tight division. We could have a good season and finish 8th.

I just want to keep enjoying watching my side play football. Sounds stupid but the pride I got watching the lads play last season, if they keep that up I don't really mind what happens.

Obviously I'd love to get promoted. But I just want to keep up this connection I have with the team. That's genuinely my main priority for this season. I want to see growth in the team and players. If that keeps happening the results will happen.

Top post mate! This is going to be a real challenge for us this coming season. Ipswich and Sheff Wed coming up,Leeds,Leicester and Soton coming down, not to mention Coventry,Boro,Blackburn,Millwall,Norwich,WBA etc.etc.etc.
It's going to be a season to remember imo. We're nowhere near nailed on. We have to continue to build, trust in our players and our recruitment.
I think this could be one of the most exciting seasons for many a year. We aren't going to win every match, but I'm sure we're going to be right up there, and no-one is going to want to play us.

See that Boro_Fan is still winding people up over there on the Ethan Galbraith thread.

I don't post there but mates do and they've been banned for far far less than the WUMMING that idiot is doing.

Highly rated by @Scout73 . Knows his stuff.
Big fan mate, 1 of the best young CMs ive watched last 2 seasons. I had a feeling he would go to a big club as my club were speaking to his agent about a deal but the money he was wanting was ridiculous

PSG will sign a lot of talented young players as theyve want to develop more stars rather than just signing big name players

Whilst I do think expectations should be tempered I also believe that we are still thought of as underdogs especially if you look at current odds with the bookies. However our normally tight lipped and careful director Speakman probably lit the fire a little with him mentioning automatic promotion in his interview a couple of weeks ago. In my opinion we have a very strong young squad with just a dash of experience but what looked like a desire to prove all doubters wrong and if that desire is transferred to this season then we may well see some fireworks.
