No surprise that we lost but Fulham let us down. Luckily Palace dumped Leicester below us so next two games most certainly have to be won.
Intensely disappointing. I wasn't expecting to get anything from the game prior to kickoff, but for the first 35 minutes we had the better chances. But, as usual, got some rough decisions, particularly that ridiculous penalty. Also annoyed that results in the other games did not go in our favour. But we do have some winnable games coming up this month so there is still all to play for. MOT
This game was never going to be season defining. I've said all season that Forest are the worst team in the league so Tuesday is now a huge game. We just have to win that one. Then we move on to Palace at home next week. That's an attainable 6 points by this time next week. To be honest, I'm expecting 6 points this week. Anything else is a failure.
Yeah, I get that. Our problem is our fixtures in May. We need to take full advantage of our easier fixtures in April. Need to win our home games against the other sides who are struggling.
Shocker of a penalty decision, we wouldn't get that in a million years. Having said that, it was Ayling again. He's been our weakest link for the last couple of months, three goals today came down his side and his defending for their 4th goal was abysmal (he even played Xhaka onside).
Doesn't matter that we've known for 2 weeks that we'd lose today as nothing can soften the blow of a defeat, even when it's away at the League leaders. Unfortunately we had to witness yet another game defining stupid mistake to give the penalty away and sorry guys but it was a foul as Ayling clearly strikes him on the knee and WTF he's doing on the ground swinging a leg at it god only knows. A real shame as well as we were holding them easily at that point. Thought in the main Struijk and Firpo were excellent together but the less said about Captain Ayling the better. Must be something about playing away at Arsenal for Luke as he seems to make rash decisions every time we play there. Personally would have like to have seen Gyabi or Archie Gray come on at 3-0 down but at least Rutter came on and showed an excellent piece of skill in the build up to our goal. These young lads are our future (hopefully) and along with Summerville, Gnonto, Aaronson and Adams there's maybe a glimmer of hope going forward. All focus now shifts to Tuesday night but as usual we have injuries at the worst possible time and games are now running out fast.
