Unpleasant stuff. Pretty tough for the clubs on how to deal with it. Innocent until proven guilty in theory, and all that. In regards to acting, clubs are damned if they do and damned if they don’t.
Not having a go at you with this but I absolutely hate this idea that people are proven innocent. There’s no such thing. People are found not guilty if there is insufficient evidence to convict. That doesn’t mean they are innocent. Take the case of Greenwood. Most people by now have heard the recordings that showed him up for what he is. He isn’t charged because those providing the evidence have withdrawn from the prosecution. The evidence is no longer there. Doesn’t mean it didn’t happen.
Is everyone else fed up with players ruining the reputation of the club they play for, guilty or not they shouldn’t get themselves into that position in the first place, thick,me, me, me bastards, couldn’t care less what happens to him, sooner out the club the better.
Well said. Players have to realise that they are not just representing their club, but the city or town where they play.
What about presumption of innocence & the maxim innocent until proven guilty? You don't get proven innocent, you are found not guilty of the crime of which you were accused. I've not heard any recordings and am not interested in listening to them now, however, the presumption of innocence having being said, I find it difficult to understand how consent could have been deemed to have been established when, in court, Ched Evans admitted that he did not speak to the woman before, during or after sex. It is cases like this that make me think that the English juries should have the same options as in Scotland, to find a person Guilty, Not Guilty or to find that the case is Not Proven.
I'm totally totally shocked........ Never knew he lived in Washington (BTW if he's guilty he's a c**t)
