The goal was 100% down to Meslier. I’m no great fan of Firpo but to suggest that was down to him is ridiculous and almost smacks of a preconceived bias against him, like you’ve decided to scapegoat him for everything.
I think the point is being made that it was the RB who scored, which is our LB's man to deal with, therefore the RB should have been intercepted or harried by Firpo to avoid the chance of Meslier embarrassing himself. But you can't deal if you're 30-40 yds away from him. TBF, I thought he had one of his best games for us. In mitigation, I never rewound to see what the Hell he was doing upfield when his man ended up putting 30-40 yards between them. That is the hinge point that should determine whether he's guilty or not. I was relying on a stream, hence not winding back. Anyone else wind it back to see?
