They’ll obviously not get rid and I wouldn’t expect that but is he really the right man? I don’t see us doing anything under him. Boring appointment and a clear indication of the clubs ambition (or lack of) imo.

Starting worry we won't see Ross Stewart play for us again. Surely there was no reason not to play him tonight, this excuse of him "not feeling quite right" and hoping it's "days rathe than weeks" smells of bullshit

We have been doing quite well, I believe we are mid table, playing some decent football and despite a big injury list holding our own in our first season back in the championship.

Apart from that he clearly isn't the right man

Fully expect him to be gone in January. Wouldn’t be a surprise if it’s already sorted.

I’m still freezing. Almost up there with Stoke (A) in the snow for bitterness tonight.

Still annoyed at the atmosphere in the ground, the second half collapse and how fan favourites get away with so much.

Example, second half Pritchard gives the ball to Neil at knee height, while he is under pressure from a Baggies player. Neil loses the ball and those round me, shout at how ****e he is. No mention of the ****e pass he received

Tell you what pissed me off the most. 10 seconds after WBA score their second, about 10,000 cry babies walk out the stadium. It's pathetic

I couldn't believe how many left, I know it was cold but it was almost like they wanted an excuse to leave

It’s been poor all season, bar a couple of games.

I’m not calling for his head.
Notwithstanding it was really poor that he and Venus as ex-defenders themselves couldn’t identify the correct solution to tonight’s problem.

The subs and the timing of them was bizarre.

Very frustrating performance from the team in a game that was ours for the taking.

It was also woeful management whichever way we dress it up.

Plenty of Blackburn supporters on Twitter pointed this out, when he was appointed here.

Plenty also pointed out that they enjoyed his football a lot of the time. Eye of the beholder I think is the term. He got it wrong tonight (as did the players to be fair). But he got it right the previous 2 games. Young squad who have some lovely footballers. Play some lovely football and are sitting in mid table. Exactly what I hoped for this season. Realistically, did anyone go into the season expecting play offs or promotion?

I'd be happy with 10th and 2 seasons of rebuild before we push for the premier. Each to their own.

so why have we more than once drastically bombed out in the second half after playing lovely stuff in the 1st?

... a Goal from a canny way out... a penalty.... then a header from a cross..... could be on to something.

Tonight it didn't work out a bit like the Blackburn game....all the nay sayers come out. We are a work in process that's suffered with a hell of a lot of injuries. Let's get rid of TM......should have been fired before the game as the weather was too cold. Let the lad get on with his job and let's give him our full support....that's why they call us supporters right? He's doing a good job for me. He keeps us in mid table I'm on board with that since it was something like 5 years ago we were last here. One small step for man...one giant leap for Sunderland.

Its the same people who happily post when we lose but stay quiet when we win - cant stand that!!

Did TM get it wrong tonight, yes of course he did but these things happen in football. Ive seen folk saying its a must win on saturday - its not, there is so much football to be played and we are doing well.

11th after 22 games after just getting promoted is really good, 4 points of the playoffs

Bitterly disappointed with the second half display...not sure what is said at half time but whatever it is needs to change and quick.

The team came out disjointed and incapable of strong a couple of passes together. I will probably get hammered for this, but I get less convinced by Patterson as each game goes by....not blaming him for any of the goals last night, but he fails to dominate his penalty area like top keepers do...he just seems a quiet kid and sadly in that position...not enough. You need a ruthless streak. He should watch the likes of Schmichael, (both of them) Buffon and even Pickford, All of them gob-s4ites, but it gives the defenders confidence and an understanding of what their keeper requires.

should have watched that dross at home never mind walk out this is pathetic another cave in at home, had Stewart come on we could have won but same old Sunderland. Not really good either could have been in top 6 but for points thrown away i give Mowbray till the end of this month.
