I was well over £500 in credit with bulb which at the time was at least 4 monthly payments (solar panels) ... and rising .. so phoned up and asked to cancel my monthly advance payment and once my credit had been drawn down just pay by the month use by dd. They agreed. I am waiting until my credit is away, this month's probably, to see if their system works.
Not sure how many on here are interested in Rugby Union, but I for one am pleased Jones has gone. Should have left a year ago.
Might be worth its own thread but as it stands anybody heard anything about the beheaders dropping Newcastle to buy Man U?
To be honest, they will make some 98 year old Aunt the president of "Cloakroom Limited", a Cloakroom that has a profit margin of 8 zillion quid a year and have her "Own" Man U. All jokes aside, Man U and Liverpool getting more rich signals my full blown interest in football. I can't really be arsed now and found it rather funny when Newcastle were bought and not one of the usual suspects. It also bought my opinion on them, I genuinely can't be arsed with them now. We live in a cost of Living crisis, and humans are getting paid 500k a week to play football.

****ing hell Patrick Roberts made hard work of that The gaffer nailed it by the way. The most right and definitive answer.
These public service strikes. Now everyone has the right to do what they feel is correct. But I'm slightly confused. Caught a paramedic saying the job is getting very stressful (I'd imagine that line of work is), and that's why he voted to strike. But the strike is about pay, so how is pay going to ease the stress?
It's just a pile-on at the minute - the union bosses clearly think they can bring down the government. As someone who wasn't allowed to strike in my previous job I absolutely support their right to, but it feels like the poor buggers who have to face the public are being taken advantage of. Do the nurses deserve 19%? Yes. Is now a good time to ask for it all in a oner? Maybe not. However there's a lot of he said she said going on and I don't think either side is being entirely honest here.
There's stress in many jobs and the level of stress usually contributes to the value and, therefore, remuneration. That's why lorry drivers are often paid more to transport hazerdous loads even though the drivng is the same and the load is usually unseeen.
I get that mate. One driver is carrying pallets of toilet roll and the other is carrying fule. Hazard pay etc. But the bloke I'm referring to said the job was getting more stressful hence he was getting more stressed, if this is the case and I'm not arguing he isn't stressed, I fail to see how a pay rise will cure that, from what he was saying, its a change of career needed. Money, unfortunately can't cure everything. Basically the fella was a bad example to use on TV when the main issue is wanting an 11 percent rise with inflation. I'm a Manager, the work can be stressful (not at the level of a paramedic), if I were on my chin strap with my workload, a pay rise wouldn't make my job any less stressful.
