I'm not as sold on Marsch as alot of my posts imply. I do think he is getting the ****ty end of the stick by a majority of fans though so end up defending him quite a bit.

Last season we let Bielsa go because the players had just given up. It was embarrassing shipping 4,5,6 goals a game and the players just weren't doing their jobs.

I give Marsch a free pass on last season. He did what he had to do by the skin of his teeth. It wasn't pretty but in the end he kept us up. This season has been better. We haven't really been played off the park yet but like yesterday have been undone by individual errors and referee decisions.

Saying that, I'm smart enough to know that it's a results based business and after Fulham I didn't think he had a way back with Liverpool away his next game. If he'd lost there he would have gone and it would be a case of he just didn't get the breaks here.

Sometimes I just wonder who us fans think we are. We've had 2 seasons back in the PL with limited funds and we expect what? A top 10 finish guaranteed every year? Everton have had 1.6 billion extra in TV money since we have been away and yet we are in and around where they are in the table. I'm pretty content with that. I don't expect a push for the top 6 in the next 5 years.

I think the performances under Marsch are good enough to keep us up. Heck, if we cut out some of the errors and become a little more prolific in front of goal we might be good enough to sneak in to 10th place which would be outstanding. 13 or 14 games in to this season I feel the performances have been better than the results suggest so yeah give him until the end of the season.
<applause> Watched on MOTD, so dissapointed in the outcome. Apart from the last ten minutes or so we once again looked a decent side, but i just new we couldn't see the game out when we went 3-2 up, it's a horrible feeling, but i guess being a Leeds fan you get used to it. I think everyone is right when you mention were just a player or two from being a very good mid table plus team.
To me from what i have seen so far this season, we need a Batty type of player as captain, this is where a no nonsense captain would get the players organised to be able to see out a game when necessary, and stick the boot in & give the our players some good old fashioned verbals when needed.
I guess what i am trying to say is we might already have the players, they just need organising properly on field, and Cooper i am afraid is not the answer.

Marschs summer signings all good. Instead of sacking him and expecting someone else to improve our inept defenders, give him a proper January budget to recruit some badly needed new defenders. Cb and lb for a kickoff. He’s operating with at least one hand tied behind his back because of current inept owners

That game yesterday has beat me up inside. I have a very short fuse when watching Leeds and my god do we get in a lot of talking points. Defensively let's face we are a mess. Jesse has his style which is suicidal its put's so much pressure on the backline. most clubs danger men are the wingers/Wide men whatever you want to call them these days we give them a free run. It's a team game but I'd hate to be a Leeds United Defender so I'm not going to blame the defence alone but my god we are so open it's frightening at times.
Their first goal well what can we do it was so wrong in so many ways its shambolic. The game rules are broken there's no consistency in anything anymore. Nobody knows the rules one week a stroke of the hair and hand on the shoulder is a foul the next week you can bundle a keeper into the stand nearly and it's play on. a player can kick a ball away after a foul in the first half and get nothing, yet another player can get booked for it in the 2nd half.
I guess it's how hard you can shout, or you have to be in the so called "big 6" group of who get their own rules to everyone else. Let's face it if that happened at the other end of the pitch yesterday the ref would have swallowed his whistle in how quick to blow for it as a foul. The thing is we would have accepted it.. it was a foul. if you are not a top 6 team the rules are different. This var team should be stripped of their jobs today but no they will be protected and stood up for.
I love football but there is so much wrong with it these days nobody wants anything to do in fixing it. it gets talked about then swept under the carpet till the following week or so when something else comes up to take its place.
I'm not saying we would have won or robbed of 3 points yesterday if it was disallowed but my god do your bloody job correct its schoolboy stuff and people should be ashamed and punished for such pathetic decisions a kid of 5-6 could make.

Would that goal have stood yesterday had it been Liverpool or city playing spurs. Of course not

Agree, but it also helps to have zillions in the bank :(
Although having said that, a lot of the Newcastle side yesterday were of seasons past, Howe seems to be bringing out the best in them, (Sound familiar) Difference is Howe wouldn't hesitate to change things, and will have the backing of a rich board if needed.
