My wife died from alzheimers 2018, no one or nothing can prepare you for what is to come. To watch the person you have loved for 35 year disappear month by month week by week day by day hour by hour is the worst thing that will happen in your life. To have them say to you " i want to die, will you help me " is heartbreaking. for them to be unable to do something one day that they could do the previous day is gut wrenching. After more than 4 year it still hurts more than anything that has happened in my life.
Bloody hell mate, so sorry to hear that. I feel bad giving you a like...but you know what I mean by it. I can't begin to think what you went through.
Yesterday we said goodbye to uncle Pat (Ernie Byron) a good a sendoff as you could ask for, so keep strong for ALL your family mate.
Sad news mate, it's a tough time and I've been through it myself. Have a good cry and remember the good times that you had with her, I'm not religious but I hope she's reunited with grandpops RIP
Some cracking testament from you all, emphasises the importance of Love. For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16 NIV https://john.bible/john-3-16 Thoughts and prayers with you all.
That’s dreadful mate. Lost my Mam back in 2017 to a combination of dementia and cancer when she was in her 70’s. She had good and bad days in the last few months but to lose your wife to that disease would have been very tough to handle for you both. Hope that you are able to find some peace and enjoy the memories of the good times.
Blimey , some sad news on here of late:: CR19, Ozzy, Vinkle - my thoughts and best wishes to you all.
