Derived from Anglo saxon Horu and Dene meaning "dirty valley" Mind I bet it was a canny little village right up to the seventies then fooked ower thanks to Thatcher and the tories.

had to go there quite regular mid 70's and the old streets (the thoughtfully named 5th street, 6th street etc) were already being doomed and boarded up although i dare say once that woman did her work it rapidly got much worse.
I grew up there and it was a great place to live at the time. Just like every other pit village, people looked out for each other and if you did anything wrong, your mam and dad got to know about it before you got home! Then the pit closed and the miners and their families who lived there all their lives either passed away or moved on. I did a proper look round the place after my mam died to reminisce and it has totally changed now.
The more I listen to him the more I am liking him, down to earth in his views. And very knowledgeable re all things football I think he will be a good fit here.
Not as listenable as The Snake, but I still like listening to his insights, how he explained the impact of the loss of LND, what they had been drilling in the past few days was refreshing to hear. Gives me hope that the good times are still rolling. Hhhaaawwwwaaaaayyyyyyy the lads
The ship's cook name was hopper By God he had a whopper once round the deck twice round his neck and up his rs for a stopper
Give it 18 months and Potter may be available and if he fancies returning to a smaller club (which we are in financial and recent football success terms) an achievable target for us?
