He might want high wages (but then again, he might not). But it doesn't mean he will get high wages. Even as a free transfer, he's in an incredibly poor negotiating position. If he wants to stay in the PL, I suspect he'll be lucky to get a single offer which is anything close to his previous salary.

Most of them aren’t there anymore! They lost 8 of their first team at the start of this summer due to loans or contracts expiring. They have refreshed their squad every year under their current owners. Personally I think it’s a fair approach. I think they’re a much more interesting addition to the league than the likes of Bournemouth who are going to duck and cover.
