I'd definitely consider JWP on the right in a back four. Leicester gets much of their width from their fullbacks (their heatmap from the Brentford game is literally just a red line straight across the pitch), so he probably wouldn't have to do much defending on an island, and some crosses from deep wouldn't go amiss if we're planning to go with pace up top.
We could use Valery, swapping from right back to left back, switching whenever Ralph shouts "Why don't you come on over, Valery?"
Because he's Ralph and we know this much, we're confused before the game, during the game and afterwards too. I think he's pulled a blinder here, two games, two indifferent performances, bar 25 minutes, just think, Rodgers won't have a clue how to set up against us etc because everyone is confused!! We'll get a point even so!
It really is a bugger that Perraud is injured for this one. Think it’s a great chance for three points if we went at them a bit, but I fear Ralph’s hand will be forced into 5 at the back again.
It at least shows that’s still the prime aim. At the moment it’s a question of available personnel and I think by the time the window closes the match day squad will look very different.
I wasn't planning on going to this but due to being in Chesterfield for work (which is an hour's drive away from Leicester) it seems silly not to go.
I think we’ll look a lot better and more settled once the window is closed and the squad can have a bit of closure and finality. There’s too many players who don’t know if they’ll be here in a week or so and it’s got to be a fairly tense environment. It’s a coincidence that we’re playing Leicester this week because they have exactly the same problem. Difference is, other teams actually WANT their players!
Match Day. Expecting more from this season than this game, but think we can win this. Start the new chaps please, and go for them.
The Midlands Massive is getting ready for our first game of the season…woohoo! New third strip shirt ready
