Well done Mick Beale and team. Excellent first half against a team that will be up there this season. Willock was brilliant, what we missed at the end of last season. Dykes immense, so much work for the team, so glad he got a goal. It looks as though Paal is playing very deep when Chair and Willock are above him. He looks as though he is going to be the rock to allow them to play.. Field was everywhere, Kakay okay, Bonne very hungry in his Cameo. Amos played well and played 90 minutes. Amazing We regained the game when Beale made his subs, I think he knows what he is doing. My only worry was Johanssen...not really up to speed and now injured
Willock superb as was Dunne/Dickie. Dykes still doesn’t close down enough or challenge for headers in the box - took his goal well but it was a simple chance to be fair. Chair still seems subdued - Amos a huge improvement alongside Field. Still bemused why Johannesen starts….. Def signs of encouragement but we’ll do well to hold on to Willock if he does that again before the end of Aug
But not underestimating a big 3 points against one of the best teams (with prob best manager) in the division who I’ll be amazed if they don’t make top 6. Great atmosphere too
Admittedly I was watching as I was painting our kitchen but Kakay is looking better this season. I hope holding onto that win gives the team a bit of confidence. Has anyone seen the presenting of a signed shirt to Chloe Kelly? Bit cringey and a tad condescending even if we'll intentioned.
Unfortunately it's nothing new with Johansen, he's not been the same player since signing full time. Don't wish him inured, but if everyone in midfield is fit would he be in our best combination ? Not in mine anymore I'm afraid
I thought Johansen played pretty well today sitting in that midfield and setting up plays with some good forward passes and taking the sting out of the game when Boro got back into it. Did he get injured, haven't heard that, looked hopefully like cramp.
Johannsen started well but faded Think he will be better when we have better players in team Willock, Roberts and ...the other one whose name I have forgotten after a bottle of wine taylor...
Been out all afternoon and not long home.... Feel exhausted reading this thread so God knows how those that were there and following online felt during the game..... That feels like bit of a statement by the lads..... we're not a bad side afterall and others will look at that result and know they'll be in for a tough game.... Well done lads......
Sadly Taylor Richards, your inebriated cherub or not, is out for 6 to 8 weeks after picking up a thigh injury Friday, until after the first International break
