Nah you've missed nothing mate. We have seen it countless times that money means **** all if you don't have the right manager to spend it
The point is that there are supposed to be some rules that are actually applied to prevent exactly this type.of fake commercial deals to dope the sport. The fact Newcastle can blithely announce such a deal proves.once again that the so called authorities turn a blind eye to doping.
Chelsea Ziyech Werner Pulisic Lukaku All on scrap heap Sterling havertz rapinha as new forward line. Moving from inability to hit the target to inability to score from more than 2 yards.
Jarell Quansah scored the winner for England under 19s in their semi final win against Italy in the under 19 euros. Will face France or Italy on Friday
They would have won 3-1 if Oyegoke hadn’t been a greedy twat and try to score himself instead of passing to Chukwuemeka for a tap in.
Games been on tv? Hadnt even heard the tournament was going on until saw article about semi final on bbc site just now.
Semi automated offside to be used in the WC. Actually think this could be good. Unfortunately still means will get being offside by a strand of hair being ahead of the last defender but unfortunately the rule of ‘level’ that used to be used before var is well and truly gone. I think the best past is it will generate a 3d imagine and show the best angle so you don’t have lines drawn from off angle where it’s hard to actually see that it’s accurate.
IMO it'll be a disaster as they won't have tested it properly. I think they could just get radical and go with feet only and let the defenders and attackers figure out the way to make runs etc and beat the system. I think we've massively over complicated what is after all a simple enough rule to prevent players square hanging for tap ins. The intent is you cannot be behind the last 2 defenders/gk. does that really need to be mm? is there really a massive advantage in a mm? I think not.
It’s been tested numerous times already so should run smoothly, def be interesting to see how much quicker it works then current - might stop annoying scenario of waiting to flag and potentially causing an injury etc. Agree that it’s over complicated now. Especislly when see someone standing with back to goal and they get the ball and their foot is slightly offside yet they then move away from goal etc. they’ve clearly not gained an advantage, and what was brought in to stop goal hanging as you say, has gone too far. You do need a cut off point though so unfortunately just how it has to be. Maybe the part of yo ur body that touches the ball has to be offside, so if your head is off but feet on your fine, unless you head the ball etc? Same other way round etc. if your head is offside but you control it with your foot then it’s fine, clearly haven’t gained any advantage.
why would it stop the potential for injury? Are they saying an immediate flag will be thrown the second offside is detected? surely someone has to decide who the ball was played at an all that stuff? Is there somewhere the protocol/ rules are now published? anyway I just think they need to do some experiments where they just make this rule a lot clearer as LFC have become masters of just running up and leaving it to alisson as we concede less goals doing that than we could do sitting deep.
Well apparently it provides an automated alert to the officials so I’d assume there is no need to allow play to continue for 5,10,15 seconds and then go back and check it.
So someone has to make the assessment that a player marked offside (I presume they will be automatically tagged every second as on or off) is actually interfering or that the ball has actually been "played forward" ??
England u19’s win the the U19 European Championships with a 3-1 Extra time victory over Israel. England were dreadful in the first half and were losing 1-0 at half time. Even after equalising they rode their luck but got to full time at 1-1. 2 goals in the second period of extra time won them the game.
