Muriqi is pretty likely, not so sure on Wright. I think Spezia is a better option as their strikers are a bit meh and Liguria is very, very nice.
We won’t get them, both out of our league, if we’d have got Seri, I might have believed we were going to be there or there abouts, but this really does feel like Negredo again. Anyway, enjoy the fantasy football team that’s been created, I’ll be expecting a scramble at the end of the window to be trying to sign some PL kid on loan & Grimsby’s star striker being linked!
Think you're being a tad pessimistic there. There's a lot of distance between the players we would have been linked with under the Allams and the players turning us down. Even our Plan D would be a substantial upgrade on the likes of Tyler Smith and Liam Walsh.
Muriqi would be a class signing but I do worry about these massive transfer fees being bandied about… Mel Morris had a dream for Derby too at one point.
Are we planning on playing with 2 strikers? Tan said 'the number 9 is open for Haji' and how he didn't want to be a rotation striker at a champions league club. Well if we get Muriqi he might end up being a rotation player at a championship club. I know Haji can also play on the wing, but we'd be better off going for a naturally winger surely.
Pessimistic or realistic? Acun’s really coming across as the Turkish Paul Duffen as opposed to the Turkish Simon Cowell. I’m sure we’ll be finding out about plan D shortly, then we’ll find out where we’re really shopping & looking at next season!
The Lukaku deal is off according to my sources in Championship Manager, FIFA22 & Football Manager. Acun flew into Italy earlier in a last minute attempt to get him to sign a 14 year deal on minimum wage & milk token bonusses. It was all as good as done, he had a house sorted down Coltman Street along with some new net curtains from Boyes but he ultimately chose to resign for Inter as they offered him a non-fart powered jacuzzi. Another almost over the line. Factafuckingmondo.
Really? Is he though? He's a media personality, he naturally talks up our chances of signing players to generate excitement. These are genuine offers we're putting in for these lads, it's not as though we're claiming to sign Son Heung Min and then he says "oops, it didn't come off". Everybody we've spoken to has said they would be willing to join, but we can't do anything about other offers and when competing clubs like Trabzonspor or Spezia are offering Champions League or Serie A football respectively, it's out of our hands. All we can do is talk to the players and do our bit. Figueiredo had offers from Portgual, La Liga and French Ligue 1,but we managed to snag him.
