Smart from Klopp.

we can still win today, especially if They’re on the beach.

reality is we have a good chance of winning the CL so why risk everything for a 1 in 10 chance. If it backfires, and we draw lose and City lose….so be it.

Interesting team that… to be expected really. I guess the bench is there if needed but think klopp is being realistic and doesn’t want to risk anyone

Some old. Some young. Some recovering from injury.

It's a team that is capable of great things but also a team capable of getting their bums heavily bruised tonight.

Don't know what to expect from that XI.

We are supposed to have our strongest squad ever. I guess we'll know more later.

There's not one player on the field tonight that I would worry about if they were rotated in. They're all decent enough. This isn't like when we had starting Djimi Traore, Iago, or Karius, or... You know the poor players of old...

I just don't like seeing them all play at the same time. <laugh>. A handful of our second tier, I trust them to do a job. All of them at once... I'm having to cross my fingers.

So its not the regular 1stXI, but I'm struggling to see it as a weak team.

1st choice GK, both CB's regulars this season, two wonderkids in midfield and then two regular 1st choice strikers up until the last 4months.

Back up fullbacks, played enough to be considered good enough to slot into the 1st team when needed.

So looking at it the only players who you might question are Milner (but only over his age) and Mini.

There should be more than enough in this team to see off Soton

For me the spine of experience is there with Ali, Matip, Milner and Firmino, and the rest of the team is youthful energy

Reactions: Milk..
Milner will kick all the shins so that Henderson can come on at half time and dance around the crippled opposition.

Not how I'd have gone but understandable after 120mins only three days ago. Hopefully we still win. Or, failing that, Man City do on the final day.

Five Live making a big deal of Elliott and Milner lining up together because Elliott was born AFTER Milner made his professional debut (think they said 146 days before)
