Hardly.

We just needed a win. We knew we needed a win.

You should be more disappointed as you've blown your shot by playing a game that didn't get the best out of your attacking players.

Read page 1. I expected your lot to be more threat to us esp son but you parked him as a second right back. I thought this game was going to be the one all along but you threw your own chances away to get a draw.

0-0 would have actually been the result without trent running away from kane like lovern on crack and Diaz getting a massive deflection

Trent got out thought and out positioned with Son exposing TAA's limited understanding of his defensive responsibilities...it was a conscious ploy.

Diaz took a desperate pot shot which took a giant deflection and trickled past Lloris

0-1 was the right result tbh

I don't get the attitude on here

If my team rescued a point via a massive deflection I'd take it and run considering the shooting on target during the game was woeful with a success rate of 10%
Are you not annoyed that needing a win Conte played for the draw?

At least we tried to win the game

Even against an 11 man defence and let's be honest disgraceful time wasting from the off.

Trent was lazily hanging round stood in the middle of the park outside your pen area doing nothing for 70% of the game.

He was on kane and just needed to slap into him and give a free away but panicked and ran away screaming like a little girl <laugh>

Son never got near a run on trent.

Tbh given we conveniently seem to be forgetting several set peice headers tor lot allowed including one where vvd jumped too soon and hit the bar with a "fair" 0-1.

The thing was I was afraid you'd cut us apart by getting on the last line but you were so focused on no conceding you forgot to exploit your best players. You could have won this one 100%.

No I'm not annoyed

I think it's naive to go gung ho at Anfield...there was a strategy...as time passed...you got desperate and played into our hands.

It worked

We both had 3 shots on target

And hopefully you'll thank me for it in 3 games:bandit:
It may turn out that this is the point where it became a bridge too far, but it isn't over yet.
How would you feel if we were half-arsed against Villa and lost, then City screwed up meaning we'd have had a chance?
Regardless of what we say on here, I wouldn't respect my team if they just gave up.

Fair enough but you'll thank me later today when City are 4 nil up at half time. :bandit:

I would be, if we needed a win and klopp set us up like that id be fuming at his beta male attitude that may ultimately cost us top 4.

But expectations are different for us both I guess so I get why you're celebrating a draw bro.

Can't change anything. City may get too comfortable now and drop points and still win, or they may just win them all anyway.

If they drop points and still win, whose to say if that would have happened if we won. Is what it is

But it didn't:)

There's a different between gung-ho and running out of steam.like villa real and genuinely coming with a plan to win the game by pressing our cbs with more than just kane.

Just cos lfc miss 30 out of 33 chances (most of which were not even real chances tbh) doesn't mean you didn't need 3 point there.

I absolutely agree you had to defend well and I absolutely agree you can't push all on but you don't need son inarticulate as 2nd left wing back miles form goal when running us ragged is more effective and disruptive to our game.

Stop being a big fanjita <laugh>

No one is celebrating but the Pool fans are definitely blaming Spurs for not bending over and getting gaped

Actually no.

We are going :emoticon-0112-wonde You ****wits just lost 4th by not trying to win the game.

It's not all out Leeds attack or all out burnely/Everton bus park. The game is not that black and white. There's ways to get at Liverpool that very very few even try. You had the players to try but didn't.

Well it looks like arsenal are making short work of Leeds 2-0 already so looks like a 4 point gap for them with the Derby to come.
