I like Henderson. I don’t know what to make of Dubs anymore after this season. He’s had a shocker. However he was substantially better against Leeds.

There's been a fair few of our players had shockers this season, even those who had previously been fairly solid. I wonder how much the takeover has had a short term destabilising effect on some of them. A lot of people can perform worse when they think their job security is in doubt. Not an excuse, but might be a reason.

I'd say it's compounded not getting points when we thought we should have been at the start of the season which hit the confidence. Add in a huge injection of cash when the squad has been underperforming and that is likely to unsettle people as everyone is at risk in January

Can't be easy for the likes of Willock. Left Arsenal and joined us to guarantee first team football rather than be a squad player. Now finds himself tied into a six year contract and likely to end up further down the pecking order than he was at Arsenal. The ones with the right attitude will rise to the challenge and fight to prove they are good enough - either for us in the new squad or for another team on good terms.

See that's why I'd expect Willock to shine. He took the risk to come here, knows he has a long term contract so isn't likely to be going anywhere and should therefore pick up his performances. I'd be OK with Bruno, Joelinton & Willock in the middle of the park

100 percent this. I honestly think Willock could improve enough to maintain his place in the side even with substantial investment. He's young and inconsistent but there's real quality imho

Strange one the Burn deal. Seems a stop gap for you guys but prob a big salary increase for him and at this stage of his career prob his last big contract so sets him up for retirement.

Can’t see him being first choice in a years time

He's from the area and supports the club. Was part of the academy too.

I'd say that's likely but if he can shore up the defense for the next 5 months and keep us up then it's money well spent

I think the new owners will be consciously looking for ways of keeping connections to the area in the squad, especially as we will probably be seeing more names coming in from further afield from now on. He's a realistic option to fill that role for the minute, especially with incoming signings likely to reduce the possibility of Longstaff and Dummett featuring as often.
