Goodman said a few times that their 2nd goal was not a foul on our keeper, yet another ex pro who does not know the laws of the game, making a fool of himself
Just watching the match back and sorry but Ainsworth is embarrassing, standing in pouring rain hunched up in a biker jacket ... .... when your manager is the biggest scruff in the ground you know it's a problem. He'd even be the scruffiest at SJP
Well I loved that. Cracking match, good atmosphere in our end in the second half. Celebrations when we scored the third were ****ing class. Shame we couldn't win, but apart from the last minute goal, thought it was a topper day out. Bairn wanted to see the players after the game for some reason, so while we waited ended up chatting to a couple of their fans. They said we were by far the best team they've seen there this year and we're wondering if we played better than usual today. They were surprised when I said that we're usually better than that. We really should have won - the 3 or 4 chances in the second half that we didn't tuck away for example. Think they were down to misfortune as much as anything else - that clearance from (I think) Gooch's effort was top drawer. Anyway, unbeaten, looking class, scoring for fun. Mags lost. Have a beer lads and lasses, and enjoy the evening.
after match interview, LJ said he had been knocked out for a bit but was fully concious and 'with it' but obviously the concussion protocol will now be followed so at least a couple of games out i would think...shame as i feel he needs a decent run of games to show himself at his best, similar to pritchard.
I honestly could not work it out when he first said it not long after the incident, but he even said it in the second half after hearing the others saying it was a foul and offside.
What a brilliant through ball by Gooch and finish by Stewart. Excellent stuff. Deserved to be a winner but we'll have to take the well-earned point.
Does anyone know if there is a set amount of time he will be out? I've had a Google but can't find anything that says it's '10/14 days' or whatever. Is it down to our medics to make the call?
Is Ross Stewart on to beat Wykes league goal scoring record last year? He is on 17 really was 3 today but only credit for the 2. Wyke finished league in 26 I think. So he is close.
Cracking game but gutted about the result. We need to be stronger in our box, I think we’d have won with the Hoff in goal, for all it was a foul I think he’d have shoved the attacker away from him. Another class away following. HTL KTF
Aye think he would have dealt with that situation better Patterson however did well considering the last few days.
No I know it wasn't a dig at him, like you say it's his lack if experience he was just bullied a little bit there and it's only thing could say he did wrong, but obviously the ref should have protected him. I think he must be a confident lad though, as it is a big thing to come back and be straight in goal like he did. The goalkeeper position is the worst one on the pitch to have a few nerves and make a mistake as it often leads to conceding and defeat, so for me is one of the most high pressured, plus there is no 15 minutes here and there to ease you in.
Sorry but he should be doing a lot lot better - he played in the Premier league , he is a USA international , but continues to lack ball control , awareness , and his final ball often leaves a lot to be desired he is letting himself and the side down due to his inconsistency . His level of consistency concerns ME dear knows what it does to the coaching staff . His goals to games ratio is poor - again flags up a problem .
Think you’re spot on. An experienced keeper likely would’ve made a a”aaarrggghh” noise too to bring it to the referee’s attention. Happens a hell of a lot
Think this will turn out to be a good point. decimate my fancy them to take points off Rotherham and/or Wigan. Wigan have got a big pile up of fixtures incoming. Could play into our hands
