I think they both had a good claim on deserving it. Which is why a fair decider would have been better.Over the season he deserved it thoroughly.

That's the way it is in F1 tiny fragments of time

It was fair and if it wasn't the last race nobody would've complained. It's just magnified the situation because it was seen as decisive, but all the races every one counts.
It was unfair because the race director did not follow the rules. Simple.
A good analogy is Maradona's hand of god goal. Maradona was amazing, but that goal was against the rules. Max is great, let's see him win it on merit. In today's race, he was beaten by a faster package and had no real answer all race.
Get horner to do the job, or wolff. They seem to know all the regs.
Always on the radio giving him good advice on how to do the job.

Hamilton lost the race unfortunately.
He did lose it... But in some of the most ridiculous circumstances I have seen... And I've seen a few at this point.
Can't win em all!Well that's life its nice to see a new champion. Hopefully he posts Hamilton a second place hat for Christmas signed by Rosberg.
As others have said, I think Mercedes' action is unlikely to succeed, but is good for the long term health of F1.
Leap forward a couple of years - do we want to look back on this season and say
One of the worst things about this is that Masi has created a no-win situation for pretty much everyone. Every outcome is harsh on someone, whether it's
- "that was the season where Masi intervened and blatantly engineered a new WDC"; or
- "that was Masi-gate, where the intervention was so outrageous that multiple people were fired, the WDC wasn't confirmed until 3 months later, and new rules were written to ensure it could never happen again"
Masi has created a situation where every outcome looks disreputable and corrupt, and for that he must go.
- Max going down in the history books as having his first world title given to him by the Race Director; or
- Lewis going down in the history books as having his record-breaking 8th title given to him in a court room.
But he didn't do it to please himself. He did it because Liberty bought a sport and wanted to turn it into 'a show'.
That's why I support Mercedes action. Nothing can turn this disgrace into a good outcome. But, for the future, there has to be such a **** storm that F1 can't wriggle out of having a proper clear-out in personnel and in philosophy.
The yanks destroy every sport they take complete control over
Think somebody posted them first further bsckAnyone got the rule wording around safety cars and unlapping of lapped cars?
If it’s the rules then fine- if we’ve just made it up for entertainment then that’s wrong, because as much as well all want great racing, we want genuine moments not engineered ones with inconsistent rule application.
There were.
Edit:
Mean there were cars between Max and Carlos at the restart.
Think somebody posted them first further bsck
Excellent result today.

So basically, and almost unarguably, Masi has absolutely torn the rule book up for no apparent reason?
