They ballsed up tonight, but they are unbeaten in 4 and have 8 points from 12.

Not to say we shouldn’t have done better, but they aren’t as bad as we first thought imo. Dean Smith is a good manager too.

On tonight's evidence they're far worse than I thought tbh.

That result was defo worse than either of the nine nils for me.

I do like Smith for what it's worth though.

We played Norwich at the wrong time, it is what it is. Dean Smith is an improvement on Farke and will probably keep them from being completely cut adrift as would have likely been the case had they stuck with Farke. Bad result for us, but not terminal and they happen. You don’t win every game that you ‘should’.
Do we ever play anyone at the 'right' time?
Norwich was wrong, Liverpool was wrong, Leicester could be wrong - maybe Brighton?

We played Leeds at the right time! Probably Villa too. Watford are very up and down too and have scored quite a few in some games and not in others so could add them to the we played them at the right time list. Obviously it’s not cut and dry as so many variables but playing Norwich away with their first game under a new manager was bad timing. Highly doubt that game would have gone as it did had Farke still been in charge.

Draws with both Manc clubs and WHU, were the right time and but for the red card the trip to Chelsea might have been the right time, especially as we were starting to dominate in the second half.
Brighton? I expect their fans are saying what we say about our team, with regards to converting chances to goals. Hopefully ours will and theirs won’t, on the day.

I reckon pre-VAR, Atkinson would have gone through with blowing the whistle (he clearly moved it towards his lips).

My guess is that at the very last second he thought, "I don't know what happened here, so I might need VAR to help me out - and that can only happen if I hold off from blowing here."
