That's rubbish. One minute your saying the Allams moved the goalposts on the Dia deal without anything to back your claims up. Then you are claiming they didn't sell because they did not want to because 'Ehab loved being able to tell people he owned a PL club' Why then did he start a new season in the PL with no manager in place and only nine players signed on if he loved it so much ? It's not that you cannot be arsed to answer is because you are talking out of it.
Yes, you are right. I mixed the two sets of owners up. Didn't check before posting. The Srivikorn family are the ones who have held onto the Hotel and land including the car parks. The Dai's only have the stadium and the training ground. My confusion was because the local news always said "Reading Football Club" and I was sure that Dia Yongee was on the news saying how the supporters would just get free buses as part of their ticket. It was ages ago though, as I say "my bad". The one thing that surprised me when I stayed at the hotel is that Madejski still had a penthouse suite in there. It actually makes it worse for the Dia's then.
We were for sale then at the right price. Ehab does love the status of running the club, but Assem calls those kinds of shots, not Ehab
Drat, we could have had a multi-page, four day, 'no it isn't, yes it is' back and forth spat, hey ho.
any news on the EFL rubber stamping the sale to Acun ? How long does it take ? The longer this goes on the more worried I am it's going to go tits up!!!!
rubber stamping? surely they'll do the job properly...but I've no idea how they actually do it @spesupersydera has clarified the standard time frame though
Some of my highlights of supporting City in the premier League. City 2 Fulham 1, Arsenal 1 Hull city 2, Tottenham Hotspur 0 Hull City 1, Tottenham Hotspur 0 Hull City 0. None of which took place under the Allams, does that make Bartlett a great owner? Bruce is the reason we are in the mess we are now. When the money ran out he walked. Having had over half a billion pounds Assem Allam will be leaving us where he found us, which, if I remember correctly, is what he said he'd do. He's had more resources than every other Hull City owner put together and we have more or less the same physical assets as Adam Pearson. That is why, despite the memories, he is the worst owner we've had. Just my opinion.
Its fine, it's going to be announced in the next fortnight, unless the EFL pull some kind of ****housery like saying his name isn't pronounced how it's spelled in English, or that he once stood on the same continent as Erdogan.
While the article at the link below does not give an actual EFL timeline it does provide two recent examples (Charlton Athletic and Wigan Athletic). https://the72.co.uk/254028/how-long...hners-efl-owners-and-directors-test-take/amp/ MoH
I can't remember who reported in the media that it would be complete within three weeks? Was it Baz, following his discussion with Acun? I'm sure two weeks have now gone.
