There is no chance the Allams will keep the SMC.

The SMC owe Hull City AFC over £18 million. If I was buying the club and the Allams kept the SMC I'd insist that came off the asking price and a new rental agreement be put in place before I signed the deal. If I bought the club without them agreeing I'd put the SMC into liquidation and get rid of the Allams involvement overnight. Once the liquidator had disclaimed the lease I'd negotiate a new lease with the Council.

Obi, is the £18m debt definitely owed to Hull City AFC or is it Allamhouse?

Well yes but didn't it all start to really go pear shape when he was very ill and Boy Wonder was put in charge, certainly of day to day matters, and not just the approval of paper clip orders?
Pretty much so
It all went "pear shaped" well before Assem got ill. It was when he tried to change our historic clubs name that everything went tits up.

We didn't allow that of course and that's when he began to resent the fans. Sticking the boot in every opportunity.

Assem Allam is every bit the **** that his son is.

Ehab is just a chip off the old block.

It all went 'tits up' when Assem Allam was seriously ill and Ehab took over the reigns. Bruce was still our manager but had been dealing with Assem, and it seemed as though Bruce had a free roll to sign and spend what he wanted. He spent £80m and we were relegated. If we carried on like that we would be bankrupt. The new deal was Bruce finds the players but the negotiations, meaning contacts etc, would be taken out of his hands. Bruce didn't like that and eventually walked. That is the truth. Simple as.

It was an alarming situation when after gaining promotion we are at a training camp in Austria and bit by bit players are leaving and the first team photo doesn’t even have 11 players in it. I’m pretty sure for whatever reason Bruce left it certainly wasn’t as simple as that.

well that’s one interesting side of things…..but you failed to mention the sales from Bruce reign were far higher than the buys.
His net spend was in the black
So interesting theory but doesn’t work

That’s your truth, it’s not the actual truth. Ehab wanted Bruce gone and did everything possible to make that happen and was ultimately successful. Bruce still has a lot of time for Assem, but thinks Ehab’s a ****, his exact words.

Player sales during the 2015-16 season were £20,000,000+. Net spend was barely £5,000,000. Bruce left at the start of the 2016-17 season after signing Jonathan Edwards on a free and Will Mannion from Wimbledon. It’s utter bollocks to say Bruce left because he spent loads then went back to Ehab for more.

Also, it wasn’t Bruce who broke the record transfer fee when signing Ryan Mason for £13,000,000. Ehab gave Phelan the green light for that one.

That definitely felt like a desperate floundering late in the window, and after seeing Livermore work out thought he'd go back to Spurs for another go.

That historically untrue, you really shouldn't be trying to change history.

Bruce didn’t spend 80 million in one season
And look at who he bought. bruce sold players after relegation and released players too. And we stilll had one of the snallest budgets in the pl so it was hardly extravagant spending. So he must have agreed with the constraints and he then got promoted again.

Leaving ehab to deal with negotiations **** me that went well didn’t it 13 million for mason after brucey left!!
The class players we did sign signed for Steve Bruce not Hull city. And I’m pretty sure Steve Bruce wouldn’t be doing all the finer points on contracts. Ehab wasted a lot of money in a panic pre season and then wasted further on those loans in January ndoye markovich etc
The day Steve Bruce was forced out of this club was a disaster and it’s been a downward spiral ever since and anyone who can’t see that is an idiot or Charon and Bob.
