The abuse his son received are we assuming this was done by adults or was it fellow teenagers from his school?
Teenagers can be vicious and online bullying is rife.

At the end of the day, it doesn’t matter who the manager is, the club in its current state is destined to fail. Tactics and team selections and player management are the most superficial layer floating on top of a rotting cesspit, you can change those things as much as you like but the stench underneath will always escape and foul the new surface.

It goes much deeper than lack of spending right down to the poisoned heart of the club. The lack of fans, the subduing of any passion around the club, the complete lack of any sort of feel good factor. There is no buzz, there can be no momentum.

At least Grant calls it how it is, not like that fat bullshitter Steve Bruce who would still be telling us all “well if it wasn’t for the Allams then I wouldn’t be here, me me me, it’s not fair that you’re bullying me, please don’t call me a fat cabbage it hurts my feels”

Grant knows the fans aren’t happy, the message is and was already clear. In fact dissent from the stands is more likely to cause Ehab to dig his heels in and hold out with McCann to ‘prove us all wrong’ and show us that his big business background knows best and always shows through.

So let’s just make the best of a bad situation and get on with it and support the team.

Exactly.
We are all commenting on something we know absolutely nothing about (who said stuff, what they said, why they said it, ....).
We all agree on-line abuse is wrong. That isn't under question.
I still think McCann was wrong to bring it into the open. If anything it just plays into the hands of the person (or persons) doing it.
If it's supporters, let the club or the police sort it.
It strikes me as naiveity and / or looking for sympathy or deflection.
It doesn't detract from the fact that McCann's record in the Championship is absolutely abysmal and yet he continues to appear to kid himself and us that things are actually ok with his ridiculous comments. What do people expect is going to happen? Of course he's going to get torn into, from fans, media, his kids school mates, whoever. That's just how it is (not that crossing a line is right; it of course isn't).
He's not helping himself one bit, and the Allams are not helping him one bit either.

I know you are a wind up merchant .... but come on, when and how has Grant 'called it how it is'?!?
I agree with the base point (that it stems from rotten ownership), but let's not forget McCann has had chance to bring in near a full squad of his own players, albeit on a budget, and has had some really promising youth coming through. He has failed miserably so far in this division (twice) and is spouting absolute bollocks.

He’s defending his choice to stick to his guns, rightly or wrongly. At least he’s not a condescending prick telling us how privileged ‘little old Hull’ should feel that he’s gracing the club with his presence purely because of the Allams money.

Anyone contacting McCann's kids on social media and giving them abuse is a first grade arsehole. I'll say it here too that I thought the chanting of 'Your getting sacked in the morning' on Wednesday night from our own supporters was disgraceful too. In all my years supporting this club and through all the **** we've been through I have never heard our own supporters chant like that against their own manager.
Totally classless. We've gone from showing a solid, loud, support away at Huddersfield last Saturday to sinking to this level in a week. I felt ashamed on Wednesday night to be sat amongst our own supporters when that chant rang out.

I agree that targeting his son is totally out of order. I don't agree that chanting 'sacked in the morning' is totally out of order.

oo oo oo touchy touchy

Burny's was hiding behind the fans when asking questions. His interview with McCann straight after the 8-0 hammering at Wigan was cringe worthy and bordering on bullying. He said to McCann repeatedly that 'the fans want you to go, so why don't you just walk ?'
He should have been professional enough to ask the questions as a journalist without claiming that he was some spokesperson for the fans, because he isn't and wasn't.
Having said that it is a massive own goal by the club refusing the local BBC radio station access to commentary.
I heard it was offered if they replaced Mr Burns.
Perhaps if he offered to stand aside for a while an olive branch could be offered ?

I think Burnsey asked the questions I wanted to ask. He is a journo. He may have an ego. I don't care. He does a good job as far as I am concerned , and him being denied access proves to me he is/was doing the right thing asking the right questions.

My club is a ****ing joke

Looks like everyone has missed the bit where Burnsy has offered to meet and to try and find a compromise but was turned down.

Out of order, no. Unhelpful in the last 20 mins, yes. When you're chasing an equaliser and you see the players heads drop isn't exactly going to inspire them either.

Yeh like a rock hard cow pat..poke it with a stick and it’s soft and stinking underneath….sums it all up..,!

Burnsy isn't welcome more because of the players feelings as opposed to grants. They feel he looks to find issues even when they are doing well, some of his tweets during games, comments on the radio etc ( even when doing well last season after he had them down for a potential double relegation ) seemed to be looking for and hoping the players would fail. Add that to his almost ( they feel ) enjoyment and I told you so when things don't go well. Thats the main reason. Grant isn't a fan of him but took it as part of the job. Add it all together and the group just thought it better that his negativity wasn't allowed to be in around the camp when they felt he was just waiting and hoping for something to jump on.

Should the players and the club accept his feelings, views and style as part of the job? Probably... But burnsy has brought on his own downfall by the way he's acted rightly or wrongly.

Maybe this should just be used by the BBC to start a fresh with a new team to cover Hull and say thanks but goodbye to burnsy and swanny ? Let's face it the quality that we got from the ex pros last season on ifollow shows swanny up for just how poor he is

Burns asks the right questions of the manager. If him and Ehab don't like it I say **** 'em. He asks/asked the questions I want answering.

I recall Ehab was quick enough to seek an interview with him in order to provide a platform when he wanted to spout the shyte he comes out with. I sincerely hope Allam is never offered the opportunity to be interviewed on radio Humberside again.

Absolute joke of a club, owner, manager/head coach.

This isn't about personalities. This is the club censoring any perceived negativity regarding the crap we have to watch served up week after week.

We are never going to score enough goals to win a match the way we set up or play.

If the players think Burns is a negative influence they need to get a grip, man up and turn the formation and performances into positive results.

If they prove me wrong, I will acknowledge I don't know what I am talking about. Don't expect it to happen though.

Strange proposed approach to an untenable situation IMO.

If the players can't handle Burns's ironic comments during commentary then it's a bloody good job they can't hear what's being said in the stands....

Genuine question, I didn't see the game. How did we manage to put 4 past Preston? Were they that bad, even worse that Peterboro, or did we do something right?

You don't like the owners and their media control?

Why does this make us an 'absolute joke of a club'?

Suggest you take a look no further than Derby if you want to see what a joke club looks like
