Everyone in the box for the corner. Ingram with a weak as piss punch and no **** was watching the ball as it came in; just grappling with Huddersfield players.
I look at the side, I think about our last game and I think a feckin’ lump of rock would have learnt some lessons. But not McCann or Cliff Byrne. FFS
Ingram was at fault. He had a clear opportunity to catch or punch the ball and only succeeded in punching it in the air and it came down on the goal line and was scrambled in.
Just to balance the constant negativity, we have had a fair bit of decent play and passage over the past 5/6 mins. Probably won't last though
I've never seen a team attack a corner like that. All players started a long way beyond the far post. No one between the posts. Confused our defence, we were still playing WWF beyond the far post. Poor from Ingram though
Nah, it's ****. They're not going to dominate for 90 minutes, but they're all over us and if this ends less than 2-0, we'll be very lucky. He needs to go to the back three and match theirs because at the moment, we aren't even keeping the ball.
Is that how you attack a team who physically man mark from a corner? Makes sense but I've Never seen it before
Well, a half similar to many others, give away an early goal, then play some reasonable football, but Smith is seeing nothing of the ball.
He won't, he's not going to get a sniff playing this formation. I don't understand why he dropped Eaves, we've lost the physical presence up front. Of course, he'll bring on Magennis. This is so, so frustrating.
Remember when McCann got pissy with Mike White when asked about City lacking an experienced centre-half? Great set-piece defending by the way, Grant.
