I remember when you said that about Pearson, it only took 5 years for you to be right, so I won't hold my breath on this signing.... I'm surprised Nagy couldn't attract a better deal than a L2 side in Italy tbh?
But he is here as said and turning the show around big time-I actually have enjoyed the football so far.
We have very different opinions of big-time... I see a subtle improvement on the end of last season so far. We still struggle to defend for 90 mins, and to score goals, so certainly nothing to be raving about just yet! If we look at the league table, we're actually 8 points worse off than this time last season after 4 games
I know which fans you mean.... Yes, it's better than the crap served up by Holden and indeed NP last season, but no better than the pre-COVID break football. Easy on the eye is often easy to beat, as we are seeing. Points win prizes.!!

You might from afar but folk who have gone, so far, have seen an improvement albeit results. I'm more hopeful this season after watching Reading and Swansea than I was just a few weeks ago. Tbf very early days.
I'm not, it's the state of the market at our level, I am not surprised we never got a fee, let's put it this way I suspect the football world at large and now BCFC know something about his make up as a person, this is a player who was going to set the world alight when he started out and has failed to do so other than internationally and it's that playing for his country that first set at odds with LJ.
Again, I must stress; I'm not knocking NP - and even I can recognise from my Swindon bedroom that the football has become more 'entertaining', but at the end of the day it's a results business and I stand by my comment that I'd rather have a boring win than entertaining defeat.
If you truly believe that then fine, that is not the way myself and a majority of fans remember it. The rot set in over 120 games ago and we have barely won one third of those games. We as a club are paying the price for allowing the the recruitment to become dysfunctional, left with too many players with ego's bigger than their talent and not putting in a shift and now we are struggling to give away some of them still on our books. However for the first time in a generation the young talent is getting a chance and that is progress. I accept that covid did not help, but that is no excuse for what was allowed to happen pre covid and has led to this. The Kalas problem is complex and personal and I hope that he stays, but I will be surprised if he does. For me Moore and Wells can go, Moore is probably not consistent enough and Wells is on a huge wage and has been poor for ALL 3 managers, 15 goals in 65 games is shocking, it was a poor signing, made in desperation and sums up how dysfunctional our recruitment had become.
