Assuming the mods merge this all but, yeah. Why should he not get some of the money he missed by not forcing a move to Villa? He’s our most important player so go ahead and get paid, young James!

Yeah I think there would have genuinely been close to riots at the ground had we sold him to Villa.

Agree 50m about right too.
 
I said on the transfers thread, he’s a player that we absolutely cannot replace this summer. More than Vesty, Ings or anyone else. We’re already a player short in his position and that would have been terminal. Replacing him will be very hard. So few players can do what he does and we’re certainly not just plucking one out of thin air with our budget! He’d get into the 1st team of the vast majority of teams in the league and any replacement we could find wouldn’t have all three of: his fitness, consistency or set pieces.
