Might get myself a Lopes - 5 on my shirt to signify this season. Feel like his loan signing will be representative of it. And I don’t want people thinking my surname is Doyle :D

might hold off until our number 9 arrives tho

Where's Dinosaur man when you want him, he must be devastated? All he's done for weeks is complain about no signings and no fullbacks.
There was never any guarantee we would get exciting young players to sign but ****ing hell man where is that blind faith that fans should have. This is what being a fan is all about, hopes, dreams, thinking this is going to be our year, if you don't have that what's the point?

It's nearly 50 years since I attended my first match at Roker and I'm still the same every August as we build our squad for the new season but this time it feels different. We are recruiting young players from the best clubs in the country, not bringing in old faces like the last few years and if that doesn't put a spring in a Lads fans step then nowt will. This window is better than I thought possible in this division and I'm loving it.

Well done to all the buggers involved and please keep up the good work and I can't wait for Saturday. However this season pans out I think it's gonna be enjoyable.

I totally agree with you. I was totally sick of impatient b@stards complaining about the lack of signings. I hope this shuts them up till at least January and then theyll probably moan again <whistle>

We aren't going to walk this league, we are going to go through some difficult periods I reckon but my god its going to be fun watching a young, strong, technical, mobile and pacy team.

I mean compare that to what we have had the last few years! I have zero doubt we will get a RB and wouldn't mind betting the pacy striker we have desperately wanted all these years will come in too

That's the reason proper foundations have to be built first ...

... otherwise the whole thing will topple as you get higher.
